Carolina Wren

We had a blizzard today, just three days after a wonderful 70 degree Saturday. Needless to say, we are snowed in. All of the local schools were closed and, like many, I was unable to go to work. I doubt I will be able to make into the office tomorrow either since none of the neighborhood roads have been plowed and my attempts to shovel the driveway have been futile. However, the backyard birds came and entertained us yet again with another busy day at the feeder and, as usual, a new species showed up. This time a pair of Carolina Wrens paid a visit. Boy, do they have beautiful soft coloring. Here are two images of the same bird, I think. They could be one of each bird but probably not. The second bird didn’t like sitting still for very long. I am very happy with each picture’s resolution considering that they were both taken through a glass patio door.

  1. Scott,
I am loving the photographs–especially the birds and the red tree–have to look at the rest.
We are going to have a cold spell for the next 4 days. All is well here.

    Love, A Nancy
